Email templates

One email builder, for templates, workflows and one-off emails alike.

Every email is written in the same builder. Its outline lists the blocks in the email — logo, heading, text, button, picture, footer — and a block picked there or on the canvas shows its HTML beside the email, with its settings a click away in a popup: a button’s label, link and colour, a picture’s alt text and link. Words are typed straight into the email, with variables as chips.

The subject and the preview text sit above the email, the way an inbox shows them. The checks say what to look at before it goes: a button still pointing at the homepage, links left over from another tool, pictures with no alt text, anything wider than a phone.

A variable can say what to write when its answer is blank — “Hi there,” rather than “Hi ,” — set once in the Variables tab for every place it is used. Previewing with empty fields shows exactly that, and the checks ask for one wherever a question can be skipped.

Preview opens the email in a window of its own, filled in with one of the form’s responses, made-up answers or a person it could go to, on a desktop, a phone or both side by side. Its links work there, each in a new tab, so a button can be checked before anybody else clicks it. Send test sends it to you, from the email’s own sender — filled in as it is shown from the window, and as written from the builder’s header.

Paste HTML from anywhere and it opens as blocks too, without being rewritten — each block’s HTML is beside it, and the whole email’s is a click away.
